PRE-USE Instructions

Important Safety Instructions

  1. DO NOT use rechargeable batteries or any other type of non-alkaline battery.
  2. DO NOT mix old and new batteries. DO NOT mix alkaline and standard batteries.
  3. DO NOT lock the backup keys or RFID keys inside safe.
  4. DO NOT leave the safe in extreme weather conditions. Battery power may be affected.
  5. DO NOT store loaded firearms in this unit. Firearms are serious in nature and must be treated with respect and stored responsibly.

Battery Installation

S007_A_BATTERY_COMPARTMENT

  1. Insert the spare key into the keyhole in front of the safe to open the safe.
  2. Inside the safe, find the battery compartment (see FIGURE A).
  3. Open the battery cover and insert 4 AAA alkaline batteries (not included) into the battery compartment. Please note the "+" and "-" symbols (see FIGURE B). The "-" end of the battery is pressed against the spring in the compartment.S007_B_BATTERY_DIRECTION
  4. After inserting the batteries correctly, put the battery compartment into the safe the safe will emit a short beeping sound.
  5. When you hear the beep, close the battery cover. You are now ready for the master code and RFID programming.
  • - Always use brand new AAA alkaline batteries, using other batteries may result in a nonfunctional situation.
  • - When you close the lid completely, your XDeer® safe will be locked, do not place the spare key inside the safe.

Master Code Programming

Default password should be changed as soon as you first use it to prevent authorized persons accessing to your safe deposit safe, so it should be kept confidential.

*PROGRAMMING TIPS
- Your code can be a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 7 digits.
- Two keys cannot be pressed simultaneously.
- Programming a new code will overwrite your previous code.

S007_C_PROGRAM_BUTTON

  1. Enter the master code or use the backup key to open your safe and start programming your new master code now.
  2. After opening the safe, press and hold the PROGRAM button 3 seconds (see FIGURE C), then release the PROGRAM button, the indicator light will come on and double beep will sound.
  3. At this point, please enter the new master code you want to program.
  4. After entering the new master code, press(just single press) the PROGRAM button again then release the PROGRAM button, the indicator light will flash twice and beep twice. This beep will confirm the new master code has been program successfully.
  5. Now you can test your new master code. If you fail to set it up successfully, the indicator light will flash 5 times with 5 times beeps, the new master code will not work and you just need to start programming it again from step 2.

*Change Master Code TIP: Repeat this process to change the master code.
*Security locking mechanism: If you enter wrong master code 5 times in a row, the keypad will be lock for 5-min (the indicator light will blink continuously for 5 minutes and beeps continuously). You can stop it by using backup key to open it and remove the battery.

Programming RFID

Programming the RFID Key Fobs

  1. Use the button tool to press "PROGRAM" (see Figure C) and release PROGRAM button, the indicator light blinks twice and emits two beeps.
  2. Place your RFID key fob on side of the keypad to scan (see FIGURE D). When the safe beeps and the indicator light blinks, remove your RFID key fob.S007_D_INDICATOR_LIGHT
  3. If the indicator light blinks twice and emits a double beeps when step 2 is programmed, the key fob has been successfully programmed.
  4. Now test the RFID key fob. Press a random number to wake up the panel, then place the RFID key fob on the keypad.
  5. If the RFID key fob will not work and you just need to start programming it again from step 1.

*TIP: Wake up the Panel Requirement - Additional Tips in User Instruction Manual Before using the key fob, you must press anyone of "1, 2, 3" at first to wake up the panel, then place the RFID induction zone to open the safe.

Delete the RFID Key Fobs

  1. Using the button tool to press and hold the PROGRAM and don't let go.
  2. Keep holding the PROGRAM button , there are double beeps and indicator light blinks twice,
  3. then release it (The whole process will take 5-8 seconds).
  4. All the RFID key fobs have been erased.
  • NOTE: This operation does not affect the code of the keyboard.

Low Battery Warning

If indicator light will flash 10 times with 10 beeps when opening the safe by electronics way, it means your battery level is critically low and your safe needs to be replaced the 4 new batteries.

*Internal LED

In order to save the loss of battery power in the safe, the internal LED will only light up when using the master code and fingerprint to unlock, and the adapter interface connected to the power supply can not make the internal LED light always on.
